    belt tention

    how many pounds should the belt be at..

    Be very careful!!! Just get the belt snug, then start the car up and let the belt stretch, then tighten it agian. I tightened my belt too tight and blew my power steering bearings, DOH!

    Dont forget to loosen the idler wheel bolt before you try to tighten the bolt on the arbour.check for a thread on this site about tightening the belt.

    If you dont loosen the bolt off you will strip the arbour and have to get a new one I forget what Paxton charges but its not cheap.

    1993 notch, 357W forged pistons 9.2-1 comp,Vortech S-trim 3" / 8" pullies, AFR 185 heads, Trick Flow R intake, Anderson B451 cam, PMAS 80mm, 06 PMS, 60# injectors, 3.55 gears and PA SC C4, Dual Walbro fuel system. Best ET 10.35 @ 135mph
