    What tires to buy?

I want to buy new tires but am unsure. I have narrowed it to 2.

    Mickey Thompson E.T. Streets 275/40/17

    or

    Mickey Thompson Drag radials 275/40/17

If you are planning on limited street driving and mostly at the track I would go for the ET Streets, they will hook up better. But if you are looking for a dual purpose tire, that is more stable, go for the radial. Lee

Drew, heres something I considered when choosing a tire combo. If youre planning to run the ET Streets, they are awesome, but they are bias ply tires. They will work, but the car can be squirrely with radials on the front only. What are your tires up front? Im running some MT Sportsmans skinnies up front so it has bias all the way around. If youre going to run a normal street tire up front, go with the radials. They look pretty sweet.

Thanks Guys ! I am leaning towards the radilas because I run a radial up front. Just hoping I can keep my 60ft with them ! With 8 inch slicks (small i know) I run 1.7's.

    thanks again !

The 8 inch slicks can cut 1.4's if everything else is happy. Don't forget to look @ Hoosier QTP's. they're hands down my favoriot street/strip tire. Although i haven't tried the new M/T radials yet.
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D
