4-71 with intake manifold and carb

Hello, At first i want to introduce myself.

I am Arnold and I am from Holland.

I am building an 38 Chevy pickup hotrod. It has now got an stock 350 engine(from about 1980). Take a look at my site, it is in Dutch but the pictures may tell enough.



I am looking for an blower, and i came across an 4-71 weiand blower kit.

It is an rebuild blower and has driven about thousand miles after rebuild.



It comes with an intake manifold for sbc, and carb.

He wants to have about $1800,- for it.



My question is, what should I check to make sure the blower is in good condition. And is this a good price, I find it rather expensive for this set.

Isn't there anyone who knows a thing or two about this blower?

The intake alone is worth around $800.00 because to the best of my knowledge no one even makes one for a 4-71 anymore. I just changed out a overdriven 4-71 to a 6-71 and it really worked good.
