Modify Tensioner for better results?

Have any of you guys played with the Vortech stock tensioner to help hold tension (relocation). I know a bud that had a Novi2000 did, and it showed great results. I dont have any "great ideas" on how to yet....but was hoping some of you guys did.
I would love to run one of Ians setups but he has nothing available for the 94-95 guys.
I dont have to much slip, but really wanna do something about the pos stock tensioner, sometimes the boost falls in the higher rpms.
I run a 2.75/7"

can u run a belt tensioner?? I used to make and sell em. Theres a bunch on ebay and magazines selling the same piece as mine.

I as well cant wait to get my hands on Ian's piece.
