I'm debating between switching to a turbo for my Fox Mustang or switching to a YSI. Thought I'd ask you guys how much boost you are running and at what rpm do you start building boost, also give me some info on your engine combination.
Thank you

331, AFR185's, trickflow street heat, 42's, YS trim, I have a 6.87 lower, and a 3.00 upper, i see about 8 lbs of boost at 5500 rpm, but it makes power immediately when ya stomp it at any rpm. When i get my better block, ill put the 8" lower on and it will be even more responsive and make more power. I pulled 487@5500, but ran out of fuel. I just got my fuel system, so when i get it dynoed next time, ill leave the numbers for ya.
I see 5 psi on the two step at 3k RPM and 20+ psi at 6000+..

W/ an AOD w/ 5.000 stall on my 351 I'd see an instant 15psi when I'd stomp it. I saw 23psi aAt 6400.
It will make boost immediatly.
I think my 5 speed would see like ~8psi right away at like 3,000 stomping it. And 20 around 6400 at that time pulley wise. Don't rmember for sure as this was two years ago.

Thanks for all the responses! What is a two step and how does it work?
Two stage rev limiter. Usually used with Automatics and transbrakes. When you hit the trans brake button it sets the second rev limiter to a set RPM say ~4,000 While holding the Transbrake button you floor it. The car stays at 4,000 till you release the button the the car takes off. :teeth: Like This (air bag and anti roll bar were out, not normally this bad)
Then the regular rev limiter will be operational say at 6500 RPM.

my car was similar to dales.... made 15lbs @ 4200 on the 2step, flashed to 6200 and instantly went to 25lbs.... by 7300 (where i shift) it was 29lbs... I made 840rwhp and went 8.56 @ 158 at 3220lbs..
