    I have an sn89

    I have an sn89 supercharger is there a reason that there is not a blowoff valve with supercharger?

    Some claim that anything under 6psi does not need one. I myself have seen better idle and off idle performance using a BOV.

    You don't *need* one under 6-7 psi but, it does force you to drive the car in a different way. It's kind of like adapting to driving a truck with Detroit Lockers instead of Posi. It's a little more demanding and has a few quirks but, you adapt fast.

    As Speed says, you can get a little better driveability if you have one. There is no performance benefit with that low pressure.
