    Bypass valve no worky?

I have a Paxton bypass valve with two nipples and an adjuster nut on top. I have the adjuster nut loosened all the way, vacuum/boost reference hooked to the top nipple, and the bottom nipple left unhooked. The motor pulls 11" at idle and the valve will move smoothly if I push on it or pry with a screwdriver. Any ideas?

I don't know what tha pax valve looks like but the only way these things fail is when the internal diaphragm is ruptured from overboost or too much flow for the valve.

So if you put your finger over the bottom nipple does it open under vacuum?

Didn't try that. The only way that it could be ruptured is if it was that way when I got it, I doubt 8-10 psi ruptured it...that's all I've seen.
I've got a vacuum pump, guess I'll try that little tidbit, if it fails, I'll be in the market for one with the same bolt/flange pattern...y'all know any?

Well, hooked up the vacuum pump to both ports, plugging the other port, and to no avail. Does anyone know another valve with the same flange/bolt pattern?

I have used many By-Pass valves and you will need to check the measurements because most I have used have the jumbo sized flange.
