Bracket problems

I have an 89' GT and i just purchased a paxton GSS from a friend. It came off of a 95' GT. The bracket is apparently different b/ the accessory part of the bracket hits my sway bar mount. Can i modify this bracket to work or do i need to purchase a different one? Will any other supercharger brackets interchange? I am really needing some help with this one guys as i am down about the purchase now! Thanks for any help.

I would go ahead and modify the one you got in the kit...
