I have seen Carbed 454ci BBC with the 'S' making good power.
Vortech makes an S-trim kit for the new Z06 vette. It has 427 cubes. The blower moves enough air to support almost 700 hp.

too often on the internets you see people saying this part is too small for that, when in my opinion, and from my real world experience, that is NOT the case. Classic is when someone takes a 5.0 and strokes it to 331/347 , suddenly "trick flow twisted wedge heads become "TOO SMALL"....i just roll my eyes everytime i see that stuff....sometimes internet racers forget that most people dont rev their engines to 8 grand like they seem to think.
