Novi 2000 just started to make noise?

    Hey guys:

I have had this Novi 2000 on my car for about 3 years and has a total of about 6k on it....well after a 10.2 run at a local track it started to make "S trim" like noises as its idleing....I looked at the impeller and moved the blower by hand making sure there was no bearing issues....ran it again down the track and ran 10.2....and blew a gasket on the tranny...fixed the gasket today and wanted to see if anyone ever had this touble befor it locks up on me at 141mph.....befor this blower was super quiet....you never knew i had a blower!

    thanks

any change in your idle speed?

I know when I had the Novi 2k, there was a sweet spot around idle where it seemed louder.

Mine did that 2 months before the warranty expired with all of 2500 miles on it....sent it in to Paxton because it definitely wasn't sounding right. Turned out a bearing was pooched. Nothing was physically damaged inside the blower upon inspection....the tech at Paxton told me one bearing had a "rough spot" when it was spun by hand which was causing the noise. I got a before and after video....I'll post it up so you can compare it with yours.

BTW....Paxton was slow as hell getting it back to me. I was without the blower for just short of 7 weeks.

Just to update everyone....I pulled the belt only to find the noise is not from the charger....seems i might have a transmission pump going or something else..I pulled the tranny..and sent it for service

    thanks
