What distributor do I use with MSD 6AL?

I was wondering which distributor do I buy to be able to use the MSD 6AL box.

I see a MSD Pro-Billet for a 86-93 mustang but it looks like it uses the standard mustang plug

:If so how do I hook up the box to the distributor when it has the origanal plug

:Or do I buy a regular 302 ford distributor? "Maybe it hooks up to the MSD Harness?

Or do they have some sort of adaptor harness?

the stock tfi distributor and coil work fine with the 6al

The 6AL doesn't hook up to the distributor at all. It hooks up to the plug for the coil. Get the harness that MSD sells for the 6AL and it will make your life much easier. The stock dist, works just fine.

hmm my friend has a chevy truck where the 6AL box hooks up to the distributor, and coil

hmmm but maybe it's because it is old it is a HEI

It is the Black 2 prong plug what do you do with that? I know what 2 hook to the coil..

OK I see why :)

The HEI has a magnetic pickup in the distributor thats why it went to the distributor...

The ford:
White wire connects to: Dark Green and Yellow
Red wire connects to: Red and Light Green

The magnetic pickup is not even used :)

I'm good to go ...
