Will I build any boost with this SN2000(with HO impellor upgrade) combo? Here's what I've got:
Chrysler 440 engine 10:1 compression.
226/234 @050 cam 494/513 lift.
heads flow 256/178 @.500 lift
headers, edelbrock victor efi intake.
Based on builds the mopar magazines as well dyno runs from other real-world people on 440's with the same combo, hp should be at least 475, torq should be well in the 500's and it would be all done at 6000rpm.
Will the SN2000 give me anything? I talked to a guy who ran a SN2000 w/ HO impellor on a 440 with worse flowing heads than mine(more like 200/140 @.500 lift) and a very similar cam and he was getting 6psi but said he was going to change pulley size to spin the s/c a bit faster but sold the car before getting it on there. Of course he could't remember anything about the pulley sizes he had on it.
His is the only similar experience I know of with a SN2000 but with my better flowing heads, am I even going to build any boost? I was planning on gearing the s/c at a 1.5 pulley ratio to hit the max impellor speed 39k at 6000rpm. Is this unit going to get me anything or should I just sell it and put the money elsewhere?
Also, anyone know what kind of cfm the SN2000 w/ HO impellor is supposed to be good for? I read 1100 thrown around somewhere once but not sure if that's accurate.
