I am saving/planning to build an Old School Blown Pro-Street '70's Camaro.
I would like to Cruise(NOT Street Race)/Show & Race( I live about 25-45 minutes away from Summit & Dragway 42).
I am thinking about two distinct engine options each would use E-85 (Expected Output 600-820 HP at the flywheel):
I) A 427 Tall Deck BBC: 10-11.25:1 CR +.060 over forged pistons( 4.31 final bore),forged 6.385 inch rods, a forged stroker 4.375 inch crank, Edelbrock Extreme Aluminum heads, a hyd. roller cam with a 112-114 degrees lobe seperation, an intercooler, twin 1050 Dominators, and an 8-71 Roots Blower (looking for Max boost of 6-8 PSI) Total Displacement 511 CID.
II) A 502 BBC: 4.468 bore forged 8.75-9.25:1 CR pistons, forged 6.385 inch rods, a steel 396/402/427 3.766 inch crank, Edelbrock Extreme Aluminum Heads, a hyd roller cam 112-114 degrees lobe seperation, an intercooler, twin 1050 Dominators, and a 8-71 Roots Blower ( Max boost 8-12 PSI) Total Displacement 472 CID
Which option would you suggest & why?
