    Pitting in head from detonation

    Long story short, bought car w/ potential blown headgasket. Here's my other thread: http://www.superchargerhelp.com/showthread.php?t=10421
    Noticed heads have some pitting around combustion chamber of #8 from what looks to me like detonation. Anyone experience this?
    1987 Iroc-Z, ZZ4, xr276 w/ 1.6's, TPIS Miniram, 42#'s, Intercooled Paxton SN2000, T-56, 3.73's, Full Hotchkis/Koni suspension, C5 brakes, 17" ROH's

    Sorry, was at work & forgot to upload the photos.

    It's not good, but fortunately the rest of the heads are in great shape.

    i would check into a resurfacing on both heads :straight:

    that doesn't look like it will buff out too well

    No it doesn't, going to have to get them welded & resurfaced...
