BDS Supercharger Hyper drive need advice.
I have a 57 Chevy with a 871 blower on it the parts are listed below. My problem is when I put the car in reverse it goes into what I call hyper drive and I have to stand on the brakes and even then the car is burning rubber trying to back up. But in drive I don't have that problem. I thought that the linkage might be the problem so I disconnected the linkage and it still did the same thing. Any advice would be greatful. I don't know if a vaccum leak would cause the problem but I think I'm going to change my gaskets and see if that helps.

Disconnect your throttle linkage at the carbs and let it idle, then put it in reverse and see if it does it. I'm thinking that the engine is torquing on the engine mounts and pulling on your throttle. Soggy enging mounts? Other idea is a blown vacuum modulator on the trans but i'm not a t400 guru. I'd still block that off and try it again.
