what difference will i be looking at power wise, if i have a P1SC and send it in to upgrade to a D1SC?
uses same housing and upgraded internals, right?
thanx!

True Blue Bullitt #915 -- COMING SOON!!
The difference is how much CFM it can flow and boost it can put out. The D1 and P1 are very close... just look at ATI's model comparison chart.
http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml
The blower upgrade is not going to give you power... it's the capability of that blower that is going to change. If you are looking for more power, you need to look into a different pulley combination basicaly to achieve more boost unless you are maxing the P1 out, but at that point and power level, you more than likely wouldn't have a P1 anyway.
I think the D1 is more efficient, meaning more power. I have read posts where people have upgraded and were impressed.
I think the p1 is a single bearing row setup and the d1 is a double bearing row setup. So, I don't know whether the entire case is used or not. I do think the D1 with go in the P1 bracket.
I'm not for sure about any of this, only my thoughts.
Yes, but doesn't the D1 use the curved impeller? I know that the P1 has a streight cut design so that would mean that a curved impeller would be peakier and provide more boost at speed, but I am not sure.
What is ProCharger willing to do the upgrade for? Have you checked on pricing and availability?
they want close to 1200 for the upgrade, but i found it for 900...

You found what for 1200?... a used head-unit?
1200 to upgrade p1sc to d1sc (retail from ProCharger)

How much is the head-unit from ATI then? $1200 seems to be a lot if they are using your existing head-unit housing... I could be wrong though.
