My air filter solution (many small pics)

I got the parts at Home Depot. 4" PVC

It's a vast improvement over the first filter!

    We don't get rain. It's Arizona! ;)
I had a rain problem when it was in the fender.

I'll check the box for the #.
I ordered it at Checker for $58.

That should be Checker Auto's site.

You should be able to order that filter anywhere including Summit.

They have a million pop-up adds!!! So annoying... wish companies would quit being cheap and pay the extra $10 a month for hosting to get rid of those.

I use a small (62k) popup killer from downloads.com called Kill Popup 1.2.

It stops far more than others I tried and it's free.
It's easy to bypass when you need a popup to work.

I knew tha PVC was a temp mockup while I got pipe welded up to replace it, but I thought it would last longer than a few days!

I have been checking the pipe several times each day and it started cracking already!

I pulled it off and am using my flex hose while I wait for the metal piping to get done. I didn't want to take any chances getting that plastic in the engine!

Damn... already!? I wouldn't expect PVC to start cracking in a couple days... or at all for that matter! I can't blaim you for taking it back off... I would too.

That was some heavy lookin PVC, what in the hell caused it to crack? Is there that much heat/vibration under your hood?

Heat from the blower and radiating off the header killed it.
I'll get it fabbed in steel when I get a chance.
